Fall is almost here, and with it we’ve had the joy of
welcoming so many wonderful guests! Earlier this month, our Collage Quilting & Inktense Pencils retreat was filled with creativity, laughter and beautiful projects that truly showcased everyone’s unique style. It was such a treat to see how fabric and color came together in fresh, unexpected ways.
But the fun isn’t over yet! We’re wrapping up September with our Tamarack Jacket Retreat, September 26–28. There are still a few spots left for this special weekend, where you’ll learn to transform meaningful textiles or favorite fabrics into a cozy, one-of-a-kind jacket. Feature of the month: Tamarak Jackets
Sometimes the most beautiful creations come from the most unexpected places. This month, we’re highlighting two Tamarack Jackets that showcase the magic of repurposing.
One jacket is made from a 1900s Double Irish Chain quilt, complete with missing squares and worn spots. The result is a piece that carries history and warmth, wrapping the maker in what feels like “a hug from the past.”
The other jacket turns beaded and crystal-embellished panels into a striking piece of wearable art, with thoughtful strip work that opens up countless creative possibilities.
