Take a look at Linda's Laura Heine masterpieces below to see the incredible artistry possible with these techniques!

Christmas Collage Quilts
If you love Christmas quilting, you’re going to adore these collage patterns! This month, we are featuring two festive projects from Laura Heine’s Teeny Tiny Number Ten pattern collection. The best part is that you get Santa, Snowman and Deer all in one pattern set!
Both the Santa and Snowman designs (pictured here) use classic collage quilting methods with underlays and cuttables, but each one beautifully shows how versatile these techniques can be. Some collages use only cuttables while others use strips or a blend of both. No two collages are exactly alike. You’ll also notice that the Snowman includes Inktense pencil shading that adds depth and dimension.
Gourd
My Gourd quilt celebrates autumn in the most beautiful way!
Vibrant fall colors and whimsical details make this collage quilt truly special. Look inside the gourd to discover fall flowers, fruit and vegetables beautifully layered together. Butterflies of every color, shape and size dance across the background – a lovely reminder that even as seasons change, beauty surrounds us in the present moment.

Tamarak Jackets
Sometimes the most beautiful pieces come from the most unexpected places! We're showcasing two incredible Tamarack Jackets that prove the magic of repurposing. The first transforms a 1900s Double Irish Chain quilt—complete with missing squares and worn spots—into something that wraps the maker "in a hug from the past."The second creates stunning wearable art from beaded and crystal-embellished panels with unique strip work that opens endless creative quilting possibilities. Both jackets show how Grainline Studio's Tamarack pattern can transform any material into something extraordinary!
White Horse
Some quilts whisper — this one thunders with hoofbeats! "White Horse" was born during Laura Heine's Advanced Instructor Certification in April, a true test of color, value, and shading skills. The result? These stunning horses that seem ready to gallop right off the fabric! See this beauty hanging at Seamless Getaways or in Linda’s traveling trunk show

Red, White and Blue
When tradition meets imagination, magic happens! This beautiful collage quilt uses Laura Heine's "Red, White and Blue" pattern with a twist — non-traditional fabrics create a beautifully aged, antique feel. Inktense pencils add unique lettering while soft washes create the illusion of a waving flag, creating the perfect blend of nostalgia and artistic flair.

Be Brave
Bravery meets artistry in Linda’s breathtaking “Be Brave” quilt by Laura Heine. Every strand of the lion’s mane is meticulously cut and shading added using Inktense Pencils, while sparkling crystals bring his face to life—reminding us all to be brave and shine bright. Linda, who holds advanced certification from Laura Heine, teaches these collage quilt techniques in her own inspiring classes.
