New Year, Fresh Inspiration at Seamless Getaways!

A new year brings fresh beginnings, and it feels like the perfect opportunity to officially unveil the new Seamless Getaways logo! You’ll notice our fun flamingo front and center, a fabulous reminder that creativity should always include a little joy, personality and fun. While our look has a fresh twist, our mission remains the same: to be your destination for creativity, learning and connection.
Thank you for your prayers and kind words as I continue recovering from my knee replacement. I’m doing very well and looking forward to hosting you at upcoming retreats.
Many of you also reached out after seeing the damage to the Junior High gymnasium roof in Forrest and homes in Pontiac. I’m grateful to share that Seamless Getaways and our home in Pontiac were not affected. We are ready to host your next retreat at Seamless Getaways!
There is so much to look forward to in 2026, creative retreats at Seamless Getaways, fun classes I’ll be teaching, new techniques to explore and plenty of opportunities to create, laugh and connect around the tables together.
Feature of the month: Opposites Attract
A touch of the tropics has found its home at Seamless Getaways with Opposites Attract, a 30" x
30" collage wall hanging that brings color, personality, and a little whimsy to our Three Flamingos room.
This quilt features bright, enchanting flamingos created using underlays and cuttables, allowing each feather and curve to take shape through careful layering. The mix of vibrant tones adds movement and depth, showing how contrast and color can work together in a beautiful way. It’s a joyful piece that always brings a smile and serves as a reminder of how playful and expressive collage quilting can be.

FULL: February 10, 11, 12 Open Retreat - Beat the winter blues with warm fellowship and inspiring projects. Join instructor, Pam Riss, in this inspirational paper piecing clock pattern.
The price is $235 for 3 full days, 2 nights, and four meals. Pam Riss, Instructor Fee $100 + Pattern and supplies. You may attend by yourself and meet new friends or attend with a friend. A $50 deposit reserves your spot. We know February may offer questionable weather; your deposit if refunded or may be used for the next retreat if you should need to cancel.

March 18, 19, 20, 2026 Open Inktense & Collage Quilting Retreat - Welcome Spring with fresh creativity and new techniques. Bring your favorite Laura Heine Collage Quilt Pattern and Linda will guide you through the process.

We understand March weather can be unpredictable — if you need to cancel, your deposit will be refunded or applied to a future retreat.
Taking Creativity on the Road in 2026
Connecting with quilters through teaching is one of my greatest joys, and 2026 is shaping up to be a wonderful year of creative learning. Throughout the year, I’ll be offering classes at quilt shops and guilds, sharing collage quilting, Inktense pencil techniques, wearable art and more.
