Happy New Year! I hope you had a beautiful Christmas season! I woke up this morning thinking, I can’t wait to have some time to sew. I managed to complete a couple of book marks for my son in between taking down Christmas decorations, but I want some dedicated time to begin new projects.
Thank you for your support of Seamless Getaways this past 1 ½ years. I enjoyed seeing your quilts, scrapbook pages, and crafts! You are simply a delightful group of women! If you have not been able to attend a retreat yet, you may want to attend an open retreat or reserve a date for your group. I offer open retreats once a month for individuals that may not have a group of friends to organize a group stay. I am also a certified Laura Heine instructor. The first Laura Heine collage class in 2023 will be offered January 20-22. There are 4 openings left for this class. More offerings will be coming in the spring.

Scrapbooking Weekend January 13-15, 2023 (Full)
You have the photos; add them to your scrapbook! Three full days and 2 nights to document your holiday memories. Come alone or bring a friend. You do not have to have a group to attend. $150/person for the weekend! Are you off on January 16 for Martin Luther King holiday? Add the additional night and day stay for only $30. Laura Heine Pin Cushion Day/Weekend Retreat
January 20-22, 2023 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Closed, Full)
Have you admired Laura Heine collage quilts? You have probably seen the pin cushion, featherweight sewing machine, or hundreds of others. This high heal shoe is hanging in Seamless Getaways. Join me in creating a collage of your choice! I am a certified Laura Heine instructor and will guide you through the process. You may attend for the day to get your quilt started or stay the weekend to complete your project.
Skill Level: Beginner--no sewing experience is needed for this class. Expectation: You will learn the process of Laura Heine Collage Quilting. Suggestions on quilting and finishing your quilt will be shared in this class. There are basic tools that you will need to be successful. You may purchase these items from your favorite quilt store or I can have them ready for you when you arrive. Email me to sign up, seamlessgetaways@outlook.com.

• Laura Heine pattern (Price varies depending on the design)
• Karen Kay Buckley medium serrated edge scissors
• #2 Pencil • Silicone Applique Fusing Mat (Precision Fuse Mat 17 x 24, you get two for one, or Gypsy Fusing Mat)
• 12" wide Steam-A-Seam 2, (No Substitutes), 4-6 yards
• Pattern Ease Foundation (Depends on the size of your pattern)
• Rotary cutter • Mat • Sewing Machine Class Fee is $50.

February Open Retreat February 17-19, 2023 (Closed, Full)
Was your new year’s resolution to complete UFO’s? You will have three days to complete many projects or begin new ones. You may come alone and meet new friend. Bring your UFO’s, sewing machine, and of course your favorite drink to sip while you sew! We do a potluck on the open sew weekends. Bring a meal to share or dine out. I will contact you to make arrangements. You will be amazed at what you will accomplish on a dedicated weekend! This weekend begins at 1 p.m. on February 17 and ends at 5 p.m. on February 19.
