Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays for three simple reasons: family, food, and fun! This is a favorite holiday because of the simplicity of the day but the preparation is anything but simple. The magic is making it look that way. I hope your Thanksgiving was filled with good memories!
November was filled with many events for Seamless Getaways. I taught several Laura Heine classes at area quilt stores and one at Seamless Getaways. We had sew much fun! If you have not created one of Laura’s collage quilts, I highly recommend you set aside some time to create one. Students have been loving their creations and finding room in their sewing room to display their works of art. Seamless Getaways has an upcoming Laura Heine class and retreat weekend Jan. 20-22, see below.
Seamless Getaways donated a weekend retreat as a silent auction item for “Pieces from the Heart” Quilt Guild at their November quilt show, raising $900 for their guild! Lana & Penny won the weekend retreat for their group at Seamless
Getaways and Shari won the Laura Heine package. Congratulations to all!

You have the photos; add them to your scrapbook! Three full days and 2 nights to document your holiday memories. You will not be turned away if you choose to quilt though. Come alone or bring a friend. You do not have to have a group to attend. $150/person for the weekend! Are you off on January 16 for Martin Luther King holiday? Laura Heine Pattern Day/Weekend Retreat
January 20-22, 2023 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Have you admired Laura Heine collage quilts? You have probably seen the pin cushion, featherweight sewing machine, or hundreds of others. This high heal shoe is hanging in
Seamless Getaways. Join me in creating a collage of your choice! I am a certified Laura Heine instructor and will guide you through the process.
Skill Level: Beginner--no sewing experience is needed for this class. Expectation: You will learn the process of Laura Heine Collage Quilting. Suggestions on quilting and finishing your quilt will be shared in this class. There are basic tools that you will need to be successful. • Karen Kay Buckley medium serrated edge scissors

• Pattern Ease Foundation (Depends on the size of your pattern)

February Open Retreat February 17-19, 2023
This is your weekend to get caught up on your UFO’s and start new projects! You may come alone and meet new friends or bring a friend. Bring your UFO’s, sewing machine, and of course your favorite drink to sip while you sew! We do a potluck on the open sew weekends. Bring a meal to share or dine out. I will contact you to make arrangements. You will be amazed at what you will accomplish on a dedicated weekend! This weekend begins at 1 p.m. on February 17 and ends at 5 p.m. on February 19.
